The Annual Fund

The Annual Fund Campaign is a critical component of The Foundation’s ongoing fundraising efforts for the growth & sustainability of The Birches Academy. The Annual Fund is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, & businesses to give the necessary financial support to our school. The Annual Fund provides unrestricted funds to ensure The Birches Academy can meet its annual budgetary needs and to continue to provide additional learning resources for our students & teachers.

What does the Annual Fund support?

  • Smaller student/teacher ratio, providing an individualized learning environment for every student

  • Enrichment programs: Art, Music, Spanish & Physical Education

  • Sustainability for the future

How much should each family give?

That is a personal decision. The Birches Academy is a public, tuition-free school, and contributions are not required. However, we aim to achieve 100% participation in our Annual Fund. Please give as generously as you can.

How do I give? What are my options?

  • Make a one-time donation.

  • Join the Monthly Momentum Club, where you’ll schedule monthly payments in any amount you’d like.

  • Gifts by cash, check, or credit card is accepted.

  • Check if your company matches donations. Many companies match employees’ gifts to eligible nonprofits. This can double and sometimes triple your donation!

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! Any funds that are given to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible. Letters for tax-filling purposes are sent to all donors.

When you donate $500* or more to the Annual Fund Campaign, you become part of the legacy of the Birches Academy. Your family’s name (or a name of a loved one) will appear on a metal leaf that is displayed on our Giving Tree in the lobby of the school. Being part of The Birches Academy’s Giving Tree is an inspiring way to support our unique school.

$50 a month x 10 months= $500 Donated to the Annual Fund that is only $2.77 a day*!

The MMC is a simple & convenient way to make contributions to the Foundation of Birches Academy’s Annual Fund in regular monthly contributions.

Day of GIVING

The Birches Academy remains steadfast in our vision to offer the highest quality education in teaching today’s children for tomorrow by utilizing technology, flexible, out-of-the-box concepts and challenging each student at their own learning level. However, without sufficient funding, we need to do more with less. NH charter schools are funded at only 50% of traditional public schools, one of the lowest rates in the country. 

Instead of coming to you throughout the year, we are trying something new as a primary annual fundraiser: a single 24-hour campaign, aligned with New Hampshire Gives – an initiative of the NH Center for Nonprofits. NH Gives is a powerful, statewide 24-hour online fundraising event that is designed to build community, connect donors to local nonprofits and generate excitement about the nonprofit sector.

Every dollar we raise on this day supports our students, teachers, celebrates our mission and secures our future. This includes:

  • Smaller student/teacher ratio, providing individualized learning environment for every student

  • STEAM-based curriculum

  • Enrichment programs; Art, Music, Spanish & Physical Education

  • Sustainability for our future, including our facilities
